According to the art calendar of 2015, today is National Secretary Day.
On this day, secretaries are appreciated with at least a small gift which is not too personal.
Caxton Urban News has decided to appreciate our PA by sharing a brief journey of her with the company.
Sophie Ndweni, joined Caxton Urban News in 2011 as a cleaner and four years later, she is now a PA.
Before being in her current position, she moved from being a cleaner and became an advertising assistance.
“I joined the company in 2011 as a cleaner, got a promotion to be an advertising assistant and then in 2013 I was promoted to being a PA,” said Ndweni.
Being a secretary like any other profession doesn’t come easy, and although there are difficulties, Ndweni says she enjoys her work.
“I enjoy my work because I learn a lot, although sometimes it’s difficult especially when answering calls because some callers are difficult to deal with, I still love my job,” said Ndweni.
