Makhoarane Primary receives mobile library

Library to help pupils focus more on reading.

Makhoarane Primary School received a mobile library from BP head office for use by Grade One, Two and Three.

CSI and Transformation co-ordinator Precious Mabasa said the handover was part of the 67 minutes for Mandela Day.

Mabasa said this will help pupils get used to reading and that it could encourage them to carry on in high school and even through tertiary.

The petroleum company has by far donated mobile libraries to at least five schools this year.

“Through this donation, we are qualifying the school to be in-line with privileged schools,” said Mabasa.

Principal Pexie Jafta said: “I am grateful to them for identifying the school as a beneficiary in a contribution of this nature.

“A reading nation is a winning nation.”
