Prayer for Grade 12 pupils ahead of exams

A 100 percent pass rate expected from all matriculants.

A prayer service for matrics was held at the Bramfischer Multipurpose Centre.

The aim of the service was to invite God into the lives of pupils ahead of their preliminary exams.

Four schools participated in the service namely; Kgatelopele Secondary, Ikusasalethu Secondary, Forte High and Siyabonga Secondary School.

Pastor Oscar Twala of the Oasis of Life Family Church said: “I’ve noticed that during exam times, some pupils go through challenges like stress and unnecessary distractions.

“Yes, a prayer is important but you also need to study hard to achieve results.

“I believe that the prayer conducted here today, shall bear the ripe fruits.”

California Mboweni from the Local Drug Action Committee (LDAC) said learning is key and that to get the best from it one has to devote plentiful time when studying.

“The habit of spending hours on social media platforms should stop,” said Mboweni.

Pastor Magezi Chauke of Saved by Faith Full Gospel Church said to pupils: “Don’t take your eyes off the ball because everyone is expecting you to score.”

Chauke said pupils should ensure that their names are in the Top Achievers List.

“God is also on your side and He wants to see you through,” he said.

Speakers said they expect a 100 percent pass rate from all matriculants.
