Police arrested two men after receiving an anonymous tip-off from a resident.
“Upon arrival, police found a green Toyota which was parked with suspects in the car,” captain Phillemon Khorombi said.
Police investigated at the scene and found that the vehicle was stolen in Mamelodi, they also found a firearm, magazine and live ammunition in the possession of the men.
The men are aged 28 and 30.
“It is because the public worked with us that we were able to make the arrest,” Khorombi said.
He encourages residents to continue providing police with tip-offs of any suspicious activities.
