Health department invites young people to contribute ideas to the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The Youth Frank Dialogue on HIV and AIDS is underway at the Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown.

Driven by the Gauteng Department of Health, the dialogue brought together  young people from all walks of life to discuss their contribution to the fight against HIV and AIDS.

Gauteng Health MEC Qedani Mahlangu urged the youth to come on board and work together with her department in the fight.

Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi expressed his department’s support of the programme.

Even though Leaufi made it clear that he is in disagreement with the distribution of condoms to schools, he agreed to work together with department of health to promote awareness at at schools.

The youth dialogue is a building to the international AIDS conference to take place in Durban next year.

Young people’s views coming up in the dialogue will be presented in the conference next year.
