Three shops burnt out in Steytler Street on August 1 when a fire broke out at about 12.30am.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
Shops that were heavily affected are a fruit and veg shop, mattress outlet and the tailoring business.
Dawood Nkote who is one of the owners of tailoring business lives at the back of the business, said “I woke up smelling smoke and just saw a massive fire.
“I tried putting the fire out but couldn’t because the flames were too high.”
Neighbours acted quickly in trying to put out the fires but massive damage was already done.
The police were at the scene with the fire brigade and a cause of the fire is being investigated.
