Mystery still surrounds Palesa’s whereabouts

Mother refuses to give up hope on missing daughter Palesa Madiba.

August 9 will mark a painful and emotional day for the Madiba family, their frustration of not knowing the whereabouts of Palesa is clearly visible.

It was two years ago when the 22 year old, final year BCom Business Management student at the University of Johannesburg, Soweto campus, strangely disappeared after spending a weekend at a friend’s home in Phiri, Soweto.

Her mother Tebogo Tsoledi said that it’s been a tough two years for the family.

“I recently got a call from my mother to remind me about Palesa, and if there is any luck.

“Giving up the search is still not an option, we need answers,” said Tsoledi.

She said, “If she was dead, we could have felt it, but we haven’t lost hope.

“I am still not doing great at all, I haven’t been myself since my daughter went missing.

“We will not stop looking for her until we have some form of an answer, whatever exposure we get to search for Palesa we will appreciate.

She added that police told the family that the case has been closed until they have leads to Madiba’s whereabouts.

“The police are really not helping us.

“Why do they have to close the case?

“God is there, and I know He will answer my prayers,” Tsoledi said.
