As it is Mandela month and people continue to give a helping hand to the needy, Protea Glen police station painted Itumeleng Day Care Centre in Protea South.
Painting of a day care centre was done as a sign of love and desire to help the children and their crèche.
Vutivi which is an NGO, donated clothes and toys as the police gave party packs to children at the crèche.
“The clothes and toys were given to children as sign of our love and desire to help the disadvantaged and we felt strongly that our children cannot be forgotten,” said Nhlanhla Tshabalala, communication intern at Protea Glen SAPS.
Protea Glen police station said that it is committed to ploughing back to the communities they come from.
