Twins found dead in plastic bag
Mapetla residents wake up to a horror situation.
The boy and girl were dumped by the bushes.
An eye witness, Portia Moloi said they only saw a woman dumping a plastic bag the previous night and they didn’t realise it was children inside the bag.
“Last night (day before the discovery of the infants) we saw a woman who was wearing white clothes dumping a plastic bag at the bushes and we only thought that maybe it’s rubbish and to our surprise it was infants.
“This morning we were surprised to see children screaming, saying there were dead babies at the dumping site and we rushed there and it was too late, the infants were already dead,” said Moloi.
Investigating officer, detective Mandla Nkosi said: “We have and we are still appealing to women out there that no matter the situation they are faced with, killing or dumping of their newborn babies is not a solution.
A pathologist who collected the infants, Maureen Nakane confirmed the incident.
