Media liaison officer for City of Joburg’s Emergency Management Services, Robert Mulaudzi said it is crucial for all Gauteng residents to know and have emergency numbers.
Mulaudzi said it has come to their attention that some people wait until there’s a disaster to ask others for contact information.
“I urge each household to have the necessary contacts because you’ll never know when a disaster may strike,” he said.
