Residents stand up against crime

Community leaders say enough with victimisation.

Residents took to the streets of Emndeni to voice their outcries on issues that affect the community.

They marched from the park near Shoprite up until they got to the Naledi Police Station where they handed over a memorandum of  demands and suggestions on how the community can be bettered.

One of the issues raised was the crime in the community and the safety of children as there have been reports of children gone missing but little has been done on the issue.

The police received the memorandum and made a promise to look into the issues.

As a first point of reference, the police have vowed  to make their presence more visible in the community.
