Scelo finally receives his prize

Instead of getting R50 000 in cash, Scelo’s tuition fees are being paid for in full.

Scelo Dlamini, one of the “Make things that really matter happen” winners has finally got his prize.

Dlamini who won the Nedbank competition has waited for over two months before receiving his prize and was on the verge of giving up.

Instead of getting the R50 000  in cash, Nedbank is now paying for his studies since it’s what he planned to do with the money.

Although Dlamini is happy that they are paying for his tuition, transport to go to school is still a challenge for him because he is studying far from home.

“I am happy that they pay for my fees but now the problem is transport because I study far from home.

“My full course is approximately R35 000 and I thought I could use the other remaining for transport but that I can’t since they are in control of everything,” said Dlamini.
