Jozi Goes Yellow is about to make waves in Eldorado Park, Lenasia and Soweto on June 24.
In an attempt to break the current record, schools and residents are encouraged to take part in the human chain that will start on the corner of the Golden Highway and Main Road.
The chain will meet up with residents from Soweto at the Walter Sisulu Square.
“The point of this is to show unity as the problems in our streets affects all of us.
“The chain symbolises that we can’t fight substance abuse unless we are unified,” Terence Makananisa from Sanca said.
He said for the first time in 15-years he can see progress in Eldorado Park.
The community should set an example to the rest of the country with the formation of the chain Makananisa said.
Formation will start at 9:30am, residents are free to join in.
