Eco-guides clean Eldos

Residents and entities worked together for a cleaner environment.

Last Saturday Go Green and Clean eco-guides, Eldos Fm, Pikitup, other local NGO’s and residents, braved the cold weather in an effort to beautify their neighbourhood through a clean-up campaign.

“As eco-guides our aim is to create environmental awareness through various campaigns that we host in our community and today was no different as this initiative is also part of our mandate, “said Brynmor Coolman, and eco-guide from Go Green and Clean.

Coolman said the event was a group effort as they wouldn’t have finished cleaning all the areas they set out to clean had it not been for everyone who heeded the call and came to assist.

“The turnout proves that if all residents work together, Eldorado Park will be one of the cleanest townships not only in Gauteng but in South Africa.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone that participated it would have been easy for you to stay indoors, but instead you braved the weather and came to assist us,” he said.

The day’s proceedings ended with music from Eldos FM and soup given to all those who participated.
