Residents encouraged to visit police station

Moroka Police open for public participation.

Residents who are relying to Moroka Police Station for safety and protection are encouraged to visit the station more often and get used to the services the station offers.

Communication officer John Serala said the station is always open for public participation.

“We are open 24/7 at our station for residents’ participation in the fight against crime in all the areas that we police.

“We expect residents to visit the station and report crime that they come across in their areas and we promise to work swiftly to ensure that the reported crime is attended to and that whoever committed crime is brought to order.”

Serala said people must report crime in their area.

“The police are here to fight crime and to us crime is crime whether it’s a big or small or serious or not serious crime.

“We need to see people crowding our charge office and our reception daily to report criminal activities that affect them.”

A patroller at the station, Mpho Moloi, said: “I’ve never missed a single crime fighting campaign at the station and to know that I’m playing a part in keeping my area safe is a great feeling that I will treasure in my life.”
