Gauteng police in search of a suspected gunman

a five-month-old baby was left wounded after being shot at by an unknown male.

Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for a male who shot and injured a five-month-old baby in Bramfischer.

The incident happened on Sunday in the early hours of the morning.

Police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini said: “Police were informed of the incident the next day (Monday) when a case was opened at the Dobsonville Police Station.

Dlamini said an armed men invaded a shack and opened fire.

“The motive of why the family or child was attacked is still unknown,” he said.

An attempted murder case has been opened.
