Soweto business awareness workshop
Government to equip SMME’s and co-operatives with business skills and knowledge.
The Department of Economic Development and Sephima Parliamentary Constituency Office will be coordinating a business awareness workshop on June 1.
The workshop will be held at Chiawelo Community Centre and businessmen and women and from different areas may attend.
PCO representative Amanda Mamabolo said the workshop is aimed at giving information on business opportunities offered by government.
“The workshop is aimed on creating awareness on government economic opportunities and to equip SMME’s and co-operatives with business skills and knowledge of how they can access resources from government.
“There will also be a presentation about using institutional resources for advisory services, workshops and clinics in order to help SMME’s and cooperatives to improve productivity.”
Mamabolo said the workshop will last from 8am till 2pm and there will be departments such as City Supply Chain Department, PIKITUP, JPC, Gauteng Liquor Board, NYDA, GEP, and Joburg Fresh Produce Market, will be sharing a stage.
