Police arrest man for the killing of Soweto mom

Police making progress on the hijack and murder case of Charlotte Madibuseng.

Colonel Lungelo Dlamini has confirmed the arrest of a man on the hijack and murder case of Charlotte Madibuseng who was shot dead in Bramfischer Phase Four.

“Police arrested the man at Emndeni, Soweto and has been detained at Dobsonville Police Station,” he said.

The arrest follows a thorough police investigation which has been going on for weeks.

Dlamini says the man will make his first court appearance on Thursday at the Roodepoort Magistrate Court.

The woman was with her seven-year-old-son and was picking up her 12-year-old daughter from school on April 20 when the incident happened.

Madibuseng was laid to rest on April 26 at the Slovoville Cemetery.
