Mobile lodgement office coming to Dobsonville and Meadowlands

Lodging a land claim is a free government service.

The office of the Regional Land Claims Commissioner Gauteng, through its Land Claims Mobile Office, will visit residents in Dobsonville at Kopanong Hall for the lodging of land claims that have re-opened.

According to Lerato Sehlapelo, the mobile lodgement office will be visiting different areas in Gauteng.

Sehlapelo said people that were affected by the racially motivated dispossession of land after the 1913 Natives Land Act was passed are now encouraged to lodge land claim for restitution until June 30, 2019.

“There are no land claim forms only the electronic systems available on the mobile bus and other lodgement offices.

“Lodging a land claim is a free government service – do not give anyone money to lodge a land claim.

“Be aware and report criminals who want to make you pay to lodge a claim.”

It will last from May 9 to 11 in Dobsonville and May 12 to 13 at Bapedi Hall in Meadowlands.

Dobsonville and Meadowlands residents are urged to visit the mobile office from 9am until 5pm.
