Soup kitchen eases burden on the poor

Needy families targeted through soup kitchen.

The Mintirho ya Vulavula organisation held a soup kitchen event to feed senior citizens and children from the community in Bramfischer Phase Two.

It is aimed at fighting hunger by providing for those that can’t regularly afford – with the primary targets being poor families.

According to Thami Mbuyisa, the organisation does not have a sponsor or any form of funding.

“We’re running the soup kitchen from our pockets.

“It is not easy since we often feed a lower number of people to that we have on our database,” he said.

Residents are invited to go register as beneficiaries to the organisation for the social development vegetables initiative.
