African Vaccination Week

South Africa provides free vaccination to children up to 12 years.

As from yesterday (April 24) until April 30, the continent will be celebrating African Vaccination Week.

African Vaccination Week happens every last week of April to promote one of the world’s most powerful tools for health.

That powerful tool is vaccinating people of all ages to protect them against diseases.

As winter is approaching and most people tend to be immune to influenza during the change of seasons, they are advised to take flu vaccination which has been available from March.

In South Africa, the Department of Health provides free vaccination to all infants and children up to the age of 12 years at clinics throughout the country.
