Police arrested a 43 year old male for possession of a hijacked ISUZU truck at Golden Highway Devland on Wednesday evening.
The police were patrolling the area when they received information about a hijacked truck that was traced to Devland Golden Highway where the man was arrested.
A trap was set when the man negotiated with police for a bribe according to Gugulethu Radebe, communications intern for the police.
On the same night at about 8:30pm, a 36-year-old female arrived at the scene, approached the man and handed over the money to the police.
She was arrested for bribing the police.
Both the man and woman are detained at Eldorado Park SAPS holding cells and the vehicle has been handed over to the police vehicle unit for further investigation.
They will appear at court as soon as possible.
Investigation is continuing.
