Siyoyisile Indlala continues to grow vegetables
Local organisation grows veggies for Pick n Pay.
Siyoyisile Indlala, a vegetable garden by COPESSA Development Projects continues to grow fresh vegetables.
The project started in 2004 and is still up and running.
Aron Ndaba, who is a gardener at Siyoyisile Indlala said although they have challenges at the garden he still loves what he does regardless.
“Sometimes things don’t go well and we don’t harvest in time because of the pets that eat plants or maybe seeds find it hard to grow at certain seasons but in most cases we produce fresh food,” said Ndaba.
To show that Siyoyile Indlala produces fresh food, their vegetables are taken to Pick n Pay to be sold there.
Siyoyisile Indlala vegetable garden produces spinach, onions, beans, sweet potatoes, carrots, beetroot and Chinese spinach just to name a few.
