Rea Vaya re-introduces additional routes

Services resumed in routes that remained non-operational following the work stoppage that took place in February.

Rea Vaya has re-introduced three additional routes on Tuesday April 7 after 38% of the services resumed on March 19.

The additional routes that started operating are as follows:

C2 (Complimentary)   Indingiliza (Dobsonville to UJ Soweto Campus via Maponya Mall)

C3 (Complimentary)   Inner-City to Braamfontein

F4 (Feeder)                    Mofolo to Boomtown

Approximately seven out of the estimated 20 bus routes are not operating as bus companies are still recruiting bus drivers.

Services continue to operate from 5am to 6pm on weekdays and Saturdays, 6am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays.

With the frequency at 10 minutes on average during peak and 20 minutes off-peak Monday to Friday, 20 minutes during peak and 30 minutes off-peak on Saturday, and 30 minutes throughout the day on Sunday and public holidays.
