Recovering addict advises pupils
Mametsi tells pupils that saying no to drugs is better than quitting.
The Department of Social Development and MoAfrica Iketsetse Organisation hosted a drug abuse awareness campaign at Bhukulani Secondary School.
The highlight of campaign was a testimonial from a former drug addict who is on his way to recovery.
Ignatuis Mametsi highlighted the fact that there are new drugs which are constantly created and one of the most recent and deadly one is known as ‘Crocodile’.
According to Mametsi the drug is a combination of many other drugs and is more deadly than the famous Nyaope.
When sharing his experience, Mametsi said that his road to recovery was not easy but the advantages are showing themselves.
He advised pupils that it is better not to start using drugs because it is hard and expensive to quit.
