Residents assist Sunshine Centre

Sunshine centre takes care of children with special needs and relies on donations.

Sunshine Centre received stationery and medical supplies last Saturday after residents in Extension seven rallied to assist the school.

Partnering with them was an organisation ‘Blessed to be a Blessing’ that focuses on spreading the word of God.

Catherine Anderson encouraged parents to support the centre and pray for management, volunteers and children.

“As parents we forget to instil love, care and protection at home and we expect teachers to do that.

“We must commit to support the centre in any way we can,” Anderson said.

Parents and teachers received chocolates and volunteers received goodie bags.

Lawrenzo Koeberg from Blessed to be a Blessing said it was a privilege to work with the centre.

“We want to teach children to grow up in love and embrace each other so that when they are mature enough, they can also give back,” said Koeberg.
