Jozi Film Festival a hit with film lovers

Art lovers enjoy a three day film marathon.

The fourth annual Jozi Film Festival was a hit with film lovers gracing the three day long festival.

The festival took place from 19 to 22 February at the Maboneng Precinct in the Johannesburg CBD.

Film lovers enjoyed locally and internationally made films.

The festival serves as a platform for upcoming and established film makers to showcase their talent.

The highlight on the festival was the screening of a documentary about the life and legacy of Archbishop Desmond Tutu titled Children of the light.

Directed by Dawn Gifford Engle the film took viewers through Tutu’s journey as an anti apartheid activist and chair of the TRC.

Attendees also got a chance to ask questions to film makers and networks.

Workshops were also organised as an initiative by organisers to promote art to the previously disadvantaged.
