Valentines Day on the big screen

Fifty Shades of Grey draws couples to spend their Valentine's Day at the movies.

Maponya and other cinemas are expected to be packed to capacity this weekend.

Many lovers and friends are planning to spend their Valentines at cinemas for the much anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey.

The film adaptation of the best selling erotic novel is being released this weekend.

The release date of this movie is perfect timing as it coincides with Valentine’s Day according to most people who believe in this day.

Spesihle Makhwasa from Pimville Zone Six will check out the movie at Maponya Mall with his girlfriend.

“My girlfriend suggested that we spend the day at the movies. She has been talking about the movie since late last year”.

Sphe as his peers call him says they will end the movie date with a pizza.

It’s a different story with Lerato Maphike from Zone Three who is currently not in a relationship.

Lerato says she will have a girls’ night out at Southgate Mall to watch the movie.

She says not being in a relationship does not mean she can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Spending time with her friends watching Fifty Shades of Grey will be the best Valentine for her.

From what we got from people on the street it seems like Valentine’s Day this year will be spent in front of the big screen for many.
