Foreign shop owners back in business

Foreign owned shops have now reopened after they had been closed for more than two weeks.

The owners are back in business and most had to start afresh after their stock was looted by local residents.

In Protea Glen Extension 11, two shops are open and the community has done nothing to threaten the owners.

Most customers are happy that the shop owners have returned and everything is back to normal.

A lot of customers were left stranded as they had nowhere to shop except at filling stations and malls, which locals say is costly.

The shops were closed due to the looting that was caused by the Snake Park incident where a foreign shop owner allegedly shot a teenage boy dead.

Some of the shops remain closed as the owners are still scared to come back.
