Rea Vaya go slow affects taxi commuters

Like Rea Vaya some taxi operators in Protea left commuters stranded this morning.

Ever since the Rea Vaya drivers have been on an illegal strike on Monday, a lot of commuters have been affected.

Rea Vaya commuters had to find other means of transport.

While it is common that taxi drivers seize opportunities when buses are on strike, most of them have been playing hard to get.

Taxi commuters were left stranded this morning when taxi drivers didn’t want to transport them to town and only focused on local routes.

Usually in Protea Glen, most taxis prefer Bara but that was not the case this morning as most drivers were only loading people going to Naledi Station.

Taxi commuters were complaining saying that what the drivers are doing is not fair because they neglect them just so they could get easy cash even though they use taxis everyday.

Meanwhile, Rea Vaya commuters want bus drivers back on duty because most them do not like using taxis.

Some even went on Social networks, expressing their frustrations caused by the Rea Vaya strike.
