Pimville’s stop and search operation effective
Kliptown police taking no nonsense on the roads.
With the aim of making the Kliptown policing area a safe and crime free zone, the Kliptown police together with the Johannesburg Metro Police Department took to the streets of Pimville to conduct a roadblock.
The stop and search operation was done by the law enforcement officers to trace wanted suspects while cars were also checked for illegal items among other things.
Constable Thuli Ngwenya said that the operation was a success as arrests were also made for motorists found in possession of drugs, drinking and driving
and driving without licences.
“The operation was made after the holidays to discourage those who were from other places and had illegal items to trade into our area,” Ngwenya said.
