Mandi reaches out to the needy

House of Mandi makes Mandela Day everyday.

The House of Mandi (HM) hosted a car wash fundraiser, last Saturday.

This initiative was held at the Enkomeni Car Wash in Diepkloof Zone One.

House of Mandi is a modelling agency that was started last year, which has a passion to teach young girls from around Soweto about their morals and values.

Mandisa Nxumalo, CEO of the H&M said: “This year we took a step further in stretching our arms in helping the less fortunate by raising funds and also donating clothes.

“We adopted two homes, one is at Emndeni and owned by a couple that lives on social grants.

“The second is an orphanage home at Dobsonville, which caters for 18 children (from the ages of 0-18) and owned by a woman.”

Ward 28 councillor Brenda Morale said: “HM has done a good initiative to help those in need.

“It is also good for her (Mandi) to ask for help from other people.

“This is the beginning of big things in this ward.

“We need more people like her in the community and I hope she won’t stop here, and will continue to help more people.”
