The school reached a milestone, as they beat all the schools in Diepkloof and Orlando and improved by 12%, from 79% in 2013.

  • 95% pass rate in maths literacy
  • 18 distinctions

Top achiever Olebogeng Matola obtained two distinctions (83%) in  both physical science and life sciences, and 74% in maths.

Thami Genge school principal said: “Credit must be given to the pupils who worked really hard to put the school on the map.

“Regardless of the fact that we dropped in the number of distinctions obtained in 2013, I am happy with the overall pass rate of the school.

“We faced challenges in maths, maths literacy, physical science and accounting.

“I hope and trust that we will work on these subjects this year.”

Genge said he would also like to thank the teachers who worked hard to finish the syllabus in time and work even on weekends, not forgetting the parents who always made sure that the pupils are on time for classes.
