With the unstable weather conditions that Johannesburg has been experiencing, something unusual happened in Protea Glen yesterday afternoon.
There was a tornado that caused damage to at least three houses and left some street vendors shaken.
The tornado destroyed roofs and shattered windows.
A pupil from Faranani Primary School said that he was on his way home when he saw the tornado.
“I was walking from school when I saw a huge tornado that had passed extension 11 and a woman who sells vegetables was so scared because she thought it would wipe her stock away,” said the pupil.
The tornado didn’t last long as it was moving too fast.
