Post office board resigns

Newly appointed team to turn things around at the Post office.

The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Service, Siyabonga Cwele has announced that the board members of the South African Post Office had resigned.

This comes after workers of the post office took part in a four month strike for better wages.

The minister said that though the board had voluntarily stepped down last week Friday, they have agreed to assist whenever they will be needed.

Cwele said that the unprotected and violent strike at the post office has caused a lot of harm in the country and the company itself.

A team has been appointed and has three months to turn things around at the post office and make sure that workers reported back for duty.
