Moroka Police Station communications officer Mpande Khoza said: “More than 24 post office employees who allegedly took part in setting alight Chiawelo Post Office are now wanted suspects and will be charged with arson and public violence.
“We won’t rest until we catch them and punish them for their wrong doings, they have set a wrong example to other residents who will now think that public violence is okay.”
Public Order Policing spokesperson Peter Moorsley said they will keep a sharp eye on the area.
“We have placed our officers to monitor the situation and make sure that whoever may come back and try to do something illegal is arrested,” said Moorsley.
