Several foreign owned shops in Meadowlands have been robbed in the past two weeks.

Constable Sibusiso Chauke, Communication Officer at Meadowlands Police Station said the robberies of foreign owned shops took place in different parts of Meadowlands but the method used to gain entry is the same.

Two shops were robbed in the early hours of September 9 at Meadowlands Zone Two and Seven where suspects fled the scene with R1500 worth of airtime, R2000 worth of groceries, R8000 cash and 2500 worth of Bangladeshi Taka (currency).
