Relief for motorists at the pumps

Fuel price decrease.

The Department of Energy has announced that today the prices of petrol, diesel, illuminating paraffin and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will go down.

According to the department, petrol decreases by 67 cents per litre while diesel will be reduced by 25 cents per litre.

The single maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin is cut by 25 cents per litre and LPG decreases by R1,08 per kilogram.

The department says the fuel price decrease is primarily due to the drop in the price of crude oil.

This then led to a reduction in the prices of petroleum products in the international markets and the stability of the rand against the US dollar when compared to the previous period.
