The Nisaa Institute for Women’s Development (NISAA) is an NGO that is dedicated to ensuring that women and children live in a world that is free of violence.
According to Nyasha Mukuwane a social worker at NISSA, to guarantee that they achieve this they offer women and children counselling, have shelter services, public awareness advocacy, research and do skills training.
Mukuwane said: “We believe that empowering a woman is empowering a community. Our plea is that women find help if they are being abused either physically, sexually, emotionally verbally and financially.”
She said women can do this by going to their NISSA Soweto office or any other organisations that offer similar services.
