Community aids in arrest

Residents urged not to buy stolen property.

A tip-off from the community led to the arrest of two suspects on today.

Suspects were caught with stolen property which included electrical appliances and clothing.

“Some things have been sold by suspects before we arrested them. We urge residents not to buy stolen goods because you are encouraging them to be criminals and to steal,” Captain Phillemon Khorombi said.

He said that the arrest is a breakthrough because there have been many house break-ins in the community.

The two suspects will be profiled to determine if they have committed other crimes.

A case of possession of stolen property and house breaking and theft has been opened.
