Almost 80 cases in six days

Two cases of rape and one of kidnapping have been opened.

The following cases have been opened at the Eldorado Park Police Station between July 18 and 24:

Kidnapping – 1
Possession of dangerous weapon – 1
Pointing a firearm – 1
Domestic violence – 1

According to police reports, a victim of rape and her friend were forced by knife to the home of the alleged rapist.

The rapist forced both girls to smoke Tik and gave the friend R50 before telling her to leave and not mention the incident.

The victim was allegedly beaten up, raped and held captive for two days.

She escaped when the suspect left his home.

In a separate incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Extension eight.
