An ex-cop was found murdered at his home on Wednesday morning.
“The man in his 70’s was found murdered at his home in Coronationville,” said warrant officer, Thomas De Bruin from Sophiatown Police station.
Residents have said the scene was horrific.
The former policeman was an officer at the Newlands Police Station which is now known as the Sophiatown Police.
The reason for the murder is unknown, as the investigation is ongoing according to the police.
“He was stabbed in the neck and died at the scene. There has been no arrest made but investigators are busy following leads.” said De Bruin.
