The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) held its first Branch People’s Assembly at the Pimville Community Centre.
The aim of the assembly was to launch the Steve Biko Branch in ward 22.
According to Tshepo Vana the hall was filled with EFF supporters and other members from the party’s provincial command team.
“The meeting was also used to name the command team in the area,” he said.
Tshepo Vana was elected as Chairperson, Panache Mashapa as his deputy.
Vana said Nomfundo Makhathini as secretary, with Neo Bopape as her deputy and Sibongile Dhladhla as the treasurer.
“Six delegates were elected that will attend regional, provincial and national assemblies,” Vana said.
