Jozi FM ask DJ to hand himself over to police

Police continue hunt for radio DJ.

Jozi FM is still pleading with one of its presenters to hand himself over to the police and let the law take its course.

This comes after the death of 32-yer-old woman who was stabbed at the Jabulani flats on Sunday.

“It is with sadness and shock that Jozi FM confirms that one of its own presenters is still being hunted for questioning with regards to the death of his girlfriend. “While details remain sketchy and the DJ’s whereabouts are still unknown, the station is pleading with their DJ to hand himself to the law enforcement authorities. “This will enable the judicial process to run its course and closure can be found by the family,” said station manager, Mpho Mhlongo from Jozi FM in a statement.

Mhlongo said the values of the radio station are to commitment to gender equality, protection of women and children.

The station has sent condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the woman and plan on having a prayer service soon.
