People accused of stealing and doing something illegal are beaten up before the police can intervene.
The police are worried that this has become too regular.
In a recent incident, a man was allegedly found with stolen goods and accused of a business burglary, he was badly beaten by the community and rescued by the police.
Constable Sibusiso Chauke said the police are against community’s illegal actions that could get them into trouble with the law.
Chauke said in many cases when the police arrive at a scene, they find the suspects badly beaten.
