Truck loses its load on Albertina Sisulu Road

A truck has over turned on Albertina Sisulu Road and lost its load of stones in the middle of the road, this morning.

The truck was carrying stones when it lost its load and turned on its side.

“Yes a truck has overturned on the old Maraisburg Road, leaving one person injured who was rushed to hospital,” says Wayne Minnaar, spokesperson for Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD)

He urged drivers to be more cautious as they approach the Albertina Sisulu Bridge which is better known as Maraisburg off-ramp.

JMPD, ER24 and the fire brigade were at the scene to divert traffic around the overturned truck.

“An investigation has been opened on how the accident occurred,” says Minnear.
