Warmer winter for the less fortunate

Help us give our less fortunate children a warm winter.

After calling on residents to assist with uniform donations, MHX Events is still asking for more help so they can give assistance to most of the schools in the Jabavu area.

These donations of uniform will be given to the children who are less fortunate so that they too can have a warm winter.

Founder of MHX Events, Floyd Manana said that they are very grateful for all the response they have been receiving.

He said: “People have been calling us and are interested in helping make this event successful.

“There are, however, a couple of issues we are still working on in terms of the venue and finalising of the concept of the event.”

Manana said they came up with the concept of giving back to the underprivileged because it is not every child in local schools that can afford the comfort of shoes and jerseys to be warm in winter.

This is why they want to help as many children as possible in the area.

He said they are still in the process of speaking to principals.

The team has not yet allocated the schools they are going to donate to as they don’t want to make promises they cannot fulfil.

They hope that residents will still hear their call of helping these children with any form of uniform donations.

“We can do the whole planning of the event, but we need some assistance from the community in terms of donations of school uniform, school shoes or cash donations to make the entire event a success.

“Assistance in funding will be helpful in organising necessities of the event such as paying for the venue that we are going to use,” Manana said.

The event will be hosted on the June 28 at the Sharp Stadium where there will also be activities to entertain the children with.
