Food garden donation warms the hearts of Sweet Angels

Rea Ikaga Brotherhood makes a difference in their community.

Sweet Angels were surprised with a donation for their food garden project at Thabong Crèche.

A group of elderly women started a food gardening project in Zone One last year and they donate to the crèche and needy people in the community.

After the Sweet Angels appeared in the Soweto Urbanpaper asking for donations to grow and sustain their project, Rea Ikaga Brotherhood burial society wanted to help out.

They donated overalls, gloves, seeds and fertilizer to the project.

The deputy principal at the crèche, Lindiwe Mko spoke on behalf of the women who work at the garden, she thanked the burial society for being responsible and thoughtful.

“We feel loved and cared for.

“This donation will surely go along way.

“We are grateful and may God bless you,” she said.
