Fire dancing started as a hobby, turned into a possible career.
Mmabatho Makua known as ‘Fire G oddess’ from Moletsane started performing fire dancing as a sport but soon found a way to make it her career.
Fire dancing involves lighting fire sticks and poles and moving them around in any creative motion to create shapes of fire in mid air.
Makua started exploring fire dancing in 2012 and has fallen in love with it ever since, performing fire dances at events as a form of entertainment.
