Spar Extension two was robbed just before 9am on Wednesday.
According to Captain Phillemon Khorombi, a G4S cash van arrived at Spar around 8:45 am.
“Two securities arrived to collect money from Spar.
“While returning to the van, they were disarmed, shot at and an undisclosed amount of money was taken from them,” Khorombi said.
The four suspects got away in a silver Corsa bakkie.
A security guard was shot in his right shoulder and was attended to by staff.
He was taken to a nearby clinic and later taken to hospital.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward or residents who know anything of the suspects.
